Our Story

At Carnivore, we provide healthy species-appropriate treats for our canine companions. We only use human-grade beef, poultry, and pork sourced in the U.S.

I'm a dog person. I've owned dogs all my life but never really questioned the products I fed them. I purchased treats from pet stores assuming they were healthy and nutritious, without ever reading what ingredients they contained. It wasn't until my pug suffered an accident that I started to read the ingredients on the treat packaging. His rear leg was amputated, which required me to begin monitoring his weight. I changed his diet and started my search for healthier treats.

I was shocked at what I found. Some treats were beef flavor but contained no beef. Some treats were 100% meat but were from South America or China. Some treats included many of the same ingredients humans use to bake cookies. While those baking ingredients aren't bad, they're not ideal for daily feeding as they lack the nutrients that dogs thrive on. Dogs thrive on meat.

I needed to create a 100% meat, U.S. sourced treat with no additional ingredients. Using the time-tested preservation method of dehydration, Carnivore was born. I was able to create an all-meat treat that checked all the boxes. Our dogs have enjoyed these treats for years, and now I want to share the benefits with dog owners everywhere.
